Wyoming Public Schools believes that technology is a tool to achieve quality in learning, teaching and managing. Its goals are that learners in the Wyoming community will become literate in technology; use appropriate technology to solve problems or accomplish tasks; use technology as tools for communication, managing information and learning; and use technology according to ethical standards.
If our students are to live and work successfully in the 21st century they are going to need skills their parents did not receive in their K-12 education. Both the workplace and the home are more technologically oriented than anyone anticipated a decade ago. This means that as our children go through life, higher demands will be made on their learning skills. Our students will need to understand complex terminology, communicate clearly, make sense out of massive amounts of information and know how to use new problem solving techniques.
