I am honored and humbled to be the Superintendent of Wyoming Public Schools. Having started my schooling at Gladiola and graduating from here as well I continue to have great pride in this community and hope for an even greater future. After high school I continued on to receive a Bachelor’s of Science with a major in math (minor in reading) from Aquinas College. This included both an elementary and secondary teaching certificates and I was blessed to not only follow that up with teaching Math and English for several years at the high school level, but working in an elementary summer program over the same period of time. I was also blessed to coach football, basketball, and track as well as be a student council advisor, Senior Class advisor and more. The most wonderful part of those first few years was meeting my wife, Maggie. Together we have raised four wonderful children who have return the blessing with eight grandchildren.
After teaching in those early years, I was provided an opportunity to return to my home town and work for Wyoming Public Schools. In the past 25+ years I have been at central office in a variety of positions, including the past five as Superintendent. I am eternally grateful for all the wonderful opportunities I was provided as a child and now as an adult in this fine community. In addition, my children were provided even greater experiences as graduates of this fine district. Wyoming Public Schools and our surrounding community have so much to be proud of and to share and I am very fortunate to have spent a lifetime here.
